Dr. Girish Rajpal is one of the best Neurointerventional Surgeons in India. While training for Neurosurgery, he became fascinated about Neurointerventional Surgery and went on to be trained from France, made him one of the few endovascular neurosurgeons in the country and in the world with this dual training of neurosurgery and neurointerventional surgery.
His practices focuses on surgical and endovascular treatment of Stroke, SAH, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVM), dural arteriovenous fistulae (dAVF), cavernous malformation of the brain and spinal cord and utilises the latest surgical and endovascular techniques to treat the patients with carotid artery disease, acute stroke, intra cerebral hematoma (ICH), subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and Moya-Moya disease.
He have special expertise in the use of the new Pipeline Embolization Device for intracranial aneurysms and presented numerous papers on this topic in various national and international conferences.
Additionally, he possess the expertise in pre-operative embolization of tumors of the brain and spine. He works closely with members of division of neurosurgical oncology and spine to decrease the blood flow to solid tumors before surgical resection. He also have special interest in minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques and neural stem cells transplantation and neuroregenerative medicine. He have delivered several lectures and presentations in the field of stroke and SAH and had been invited as chairperson and guest faculty at many national and international conferences and workshops.
Dr. Girish, one of the best stroke specialists in the country is also an active member of both national and international professional societies.
